Volume: 100 µg Purification: Immunogen affinity purified Form: liquid Purity: 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE Host: Rabbit Clonality: polyclonal Clone ID: Isotype: IgG Storage: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol pH 7.3 , -20? for 12 months (Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.) Background: The protein encoded by this gene is a regulatory subunit of the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). AMPK is a heterotrimer consisting of an alpha catalytic subunit, and non-catalytic beta and gamma subunits. AMPK is an important energy-sensing enzyme that monitors cellular energy status. In response to cellular metabolic stresses, AMPK is activated, and thus phosphorylates and inactivates acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) and beta-hydroxy beta-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase (HMGCR), key enzymes involved in regulating de novo biosynthesis of fatty acid and cholesterol. This subunit is one of the gamma regulatory subunits of AMPK. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed. Immunogen: protein kinase, AMP-activated, gamma 1 non-catalytic subunit Synonyms: AMPK gamma1, AMPK subunit gamma 1, AMPKG, PRKAG1 Observed MW: 38 kDa Uniprot ID: P54619 Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat Tested Application: ELISA, WB, IHC, IF Recommended dilution: WB: 1: 500 - 1: 2000; IHC: 1: 50 - 1: 200; IF: 1: 50 - 1: 100 Gene ID: 5571 Research Area: Cardiovascular, Metabolism, Developmental biology, Signal Transduction
